I am very excited having returned from San Antonio and the APC. We had a blast! The ladies (and a handful of men) were truly an amazing group. Administrators are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, caring, and sharing. Now, I know that is not all-encompassing. Yet if you had been there I believe you would agree that the description does fit the majority.
One of the sessions that I am most interested in now testing the concepts/strategies from was taught by Deborah Deras. Listed in the program as "Time Expansion" it really piqued my interest. I am more open to the opportunities and possibilities she presented than some of the other attendees, in part, because the theory can be tested.
According to Deborah, co-author of Confessions of an Adrenaline Addict, it is possible to "achieve more with less effort." This is something I definitely want to pursue; hence, the title of this blog: Design Your Life. I want to share with you my journey to design my life by putting into practice the fundamental principles from Confessions.
Today, I typed up my declarations...my mantras. Each day I will repeat the bulleted list below and will update here what, if anything, transpires. Will positive changes actually begin happening for me? According to Deborah, and other proponents of this type of program, if I am positive, it will change my behavior, which has an impact on those around me, and will bring about positive experiences and results for me.
- I have all the time there is
- I am in the right place at the right time
- I choose how I respond to my circumstances
- I create my life through the choices I make
- My choices support and empower me
- I am filled with energy and vitality
- My energy attracts wonderful people, places, and things into my life
- I maintain my health with good food, rest, and Jazzercise
- It is easy for me to achieve more with less effort
I am hopeful this program will help me to design my life as I envision it.
